Organizers received 257 applications from artists across the globe for the 2025 festival. Out of these, three were chosen to come to Jasper and help beautify the community.

鈥淓veryone has worked so hard on this project, whether it鈥檚 our folks who are doing tech or the actors. I think it鈥檚 really cool just to get it up on stage and get in front of an audience and just have fun with it.鈥�

The 16th annual Jasper Pride and Ski Festival kicked off 10 days of festivities with the raising of the Pride flag at Commemoration Park on Friday (April 4).

"It's a very rare occasion to get everyone together who does trail run in the same room where no one's actually running."

The Jasper Seniors Society hosted an upscale Valentine's Day Tea at Alpine Summit Seniors Lodge, with the help of funding from the Canadian Red Cross.

Jasper in January wrapped up with its annual Street Party on Saturday [Jan. 25], which features fire performers, musical entertainment, s'mores and more. The evening was capped off by fireworks above Centennial Park.

"It's a really good process for everybody or anyone that's grieving 鈥� even if you're not artistic 鈥� to pick up a brush or a pencil or find whatever medium moves you and create when you're feeling sad."
