Dear Editor,
We have been visiting Jasper National Park every year for the last 10 years; it is truly one of our very favourite places on earth.
Over the years, we have noticed an increase in the amount of graffiti on train trestles, garbage receptacles, trail signs and even on the Parks Canada Visitors’ Centre in Jasper. We were shocked this year when we saw that the graffiti on the Visitors’ Centre had been left there for over a year.
It’s troubling to see such a beautiful area defaced by vandals. We live in an area where graffiti vandalism is rampant. We cannot stress enough how important it is that you remove graffiti as quickly as possible or it will embolden others to add their own tags increasing the problem exponentially.
