Once again, the Jasper Senior High School Band is helping organize the show, said Ann Thomas, chair of the Jasper Junior/Senior High School Band Parents’ Society.
“It’s an opportunity for students to learn.”
The show is a major fundraiser for all of the high school’s bands. Last year a majority of the funds needed to send the Senior Band to Seattle for the World Rhythm Festival in Seattle were raised.
A PowerPoint presentation of last year’s Seattle trip will be shown before the talent performances.
Like the past show, there will also be a silent auction with donated items from local businesses. In addition, a few “surprise guest performers” will also be added to the roster. About 20 acts performed in last year’s spectacle.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students; snacks and drinks will also be available during the evening. Purchasing a Jasper’s Got Talent ticket also enters you in a draw to win a door prize from Buffalo Betty’s Gifts.
