Shrieks of laughter could be heard across Lions Club Park as the local club held their third annual family fun barbecue and fundraiser on Father鈥�s Day.
Lions Club member Soto Korogonas said utilizing the park on Father鈥檚 Day is important to him.
鈥淚 used to live just down the street when I was a kid so I鈥檝e been coming to this park since its inception,鈥� he said while pushing his two toddlers on the park鈥檚 swings. 鈥淚t鈥檚 nice that I can now bring my kids鈥攁 fourth generation of Jasperites鈥攖o the same park.
鈥淚 can鈥檛 think of a better way to spend Father鈥檚 Day.鈥�
Korogonas added that the family event was also a good way to drum up attention for the local club, which raises money for local causes.
鈥淲e鈥檙e all about promoting community and togetherness,鈥� Korogonas said.
All the donations collected from the Father鈥檚 Day event will go back into the community.
