
Skiers and snowboarders donned their best luau outfits during Marmot Basin’s sixth annual Aloha Cup, April 16.
From Beach Boys to coconut bras, the sights and sounds of Oceania were everywhere.
Participants of all ages and abilities raced through a course of banked turns, rollers, and small jumps set up on Tranquilizer before finishing the day with a tasty Hawaiian BBQ at the Lower Chalet.
Rather than picking one person for best costume, prizes—including a pair of skis and a couple of snowboards—were awarded to several people for their creative efforts.
Jasperite Caleb Catto took home a 2016/17 season’s pass.
Extra swag was also awarded to Lionel Jensen, Jack Bennett, Jacey Pittaway, and Sadie Howe, as the fastest skiers and snowboards of the day, landing their names on the coveted Tiki Trophy.
