Three people were charged for impaired driving on national impaired driving enforcement day, Dec. 3.
According to the Jasper RCMP, police officers stopped 150 vehicles while conducting two different check stops.
Seven people were ordered to provide a breath sample and three people were subsequently charged with impaired driving, including a 20-year-old man from Edmonton who had his vehicle seized for seven days and his license suspended for 30 days because of the province’s zero alcohol tolerance program for graduated drivers.
A 30-year-old male from Jasper was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
The Jasper RCMP will be out in full force for the month of December to carry out check stops and patrols to stop people from drinking and driving.
If you suspect a driver is impaired the RCMP encourages the public to call 911.
