“The interim agreement signifies acceptance of Valemount Glacier Destination Ltd.’s formal proposal for the creation of a year-round skiing and sightseeing destination resort in the Premier Range,” explained Oberti.
“I am very pleased with the work of the Pheidias Group and the entire project team in achieving this important milestone and look forward to beginning work on the master plan as soon as possible,” said Stephen Leahy, Chairman of Valemount Glacier Destinations Ltd., during a board meeting held on March 27.
Speaking on behalf of Pheidias Management Corp., Oberti thanked Valemount Glacier Destinations, the entire project team, the people of Valemount and the Simpcw First nation for their continued support and enthusiasm while they continue to work on what Oberti believes will be, “one of the best mountain destinations in the world — featuring the world’s largest vertical drop, year-round skiing, high-alpine glaciers and truly awe-inspiring sightseeing.”
