You missed it: Odds concert a hit

Dear Editor, Last Saturday morning my wife Kirsten came into the room to remind me we had tickets to see Odds out at JPL that night. To be honest, the thought of being outside, at night, standing in the snow, watching a concert did not thrill me.

Dear Editor,
Last Saturday morning my wife Kirsten came into the room to remind me we had tickets to see Odds out at JPL that night. To be honest, the thought of being outside, at night, standing in the snow, watching a concert did not thrill me.

Wow, was I ever off the mark. The concert was held near the driving range tee boxes. Burning torches and fire pits were strategically placed to create a warm atmosphere that was really inviting. Having an onsite bar serving hot drinks was a nice touch, too.

Odds were outstandinggreat stage presence and great music. They played to the crowd.

Ah, the crowd. We were small, but enthusiastic. There were lots of small kids, who at times almost stole the show away from the band.

At one point my friend Joe leaned over and said I have never seen a mosh-pit where the average age of the moshers is six! Odds had great fun with the kids too. The kids were invited on stage to show their moves and at one point the band, instruments still blazing, jumped off the stage and made snow angels with the kids.

What a fantastic evening. Way to go Odds. Way to go JPLtoo bad so many Jasperites missed the boat.
