It was the grand migration of rubber duckies on Sunday and families flocked to the river to watch their racing birds.
One thousand ducks were released from the Highway 93 bridge of the Miette River at 1 p.m. for the 27th annual Great Duck Race.
Each duck was sponsored by a $5 ticket, with proceeds going to Jasper Right to Read Society and the Jasper-Yellowhead Historical Society.
As the birds slowly bobbed their way to Tekarra Lodge, they were guided by a gaggle of friendly kayakers.
And at the finish line, Grade 7 student Tyler Pearson scooped the winning ducks from the water.
The fastest duck belonged to Warren Waxer, who won $1,000, Ginette Marcoux came in second place for $300, and Janice Vanberg from Grande Cache took third, and $200.
Ann Thomas, fundraising coordinator and vice-president of the museum board, organised this years event.
She said: Once again the community supported this 27th annual tradition that supports kids with reading disabilities and reading challenges, and helps the museum.
Thank you to the families that came out on the river, thank you to Parks Canadas visitor safety specialists, thank you to everybody who helped make it a success.
