Court champions: Jasper Volleyball League holds indoor tourney

There were 27 players and five teams on the night and on the winning team were Roger Stoute, Darren Langley, Payton Damer, Connor Cunningham, Kim Diery and Annette Rodriguez 

Rodriguez, a high school student who was one of the captains on the Junior Girls Volleyball team this year, was named MVP by her teammates.

The winning team took home $150 in gift certificates for the De’d Dog Bar & Grill and Papa George’s Restaurant, and second place won a $50 gift certificate to the Raven Bistro.

Jasper Volleyball League donated its tournament proceeds and donations, more than $100, to Sunhouse Jasper and Wires Wildlife Rescue to support the Australian Bushfire Relief Fund.
