Edson RCMP arrested a male for uttering threats following an incident at a local business in Edson on Feb. 25.
An employee had noticed a male loitering and looking into garbage cans.
When the employee asked the male to leave, the suspect allegedly told the employee he would be back later in the night to kill the employee.
The employee returned inside and called the Edson RCMP.
Police attended the business and patrolled the area throughout the night but the suspect was not located until the next day on 2 Avenue where he was arrested.
Police say the suspect had been in possession of a knife at the time of the arrest.
Travis Aldrich, 30, of Yellowhead County was charged for uttering threats and also for failing to comply with the condition to not possess a weapon.
Aldrich was detained at the Edson detachment but was later released with conditions following a judicial hearing.
He is scheduled to appear in Edson Provincial Court on Mar. 15, 2022.
