Jasper Food Bank has seen an outpouring of donations since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
This week Jean-Marie Hannaford, manager of the food bank, accepted a cheque for $10,000 from Simpcw Resources Group, Ledcor and Trans Mountain - money raised by employees.
And young Jasperites who released a compilation video of comedic skits for the cause raised $2,300.
鈥淭here are too many to thank, special mentions to the Jasper Kids in Isolation, an amazing group of kids who did an extraordinary fundraiser led by Lena Fraser,鈥� said Hannaford.
Donations have also come from Jasper Fire Brigade, Pursuit, Dana Hospitality, Marmot Basin, ASK Advocates for Special Kids and 鈥渟o many more".
鈥淲e are so grateful for your support,鈥� said Hannaford.
鈥淛asper has always had such a strong sense of community and in these times we have come together even more, your meaningful support is deeply appreciated.鈥�
Hannaford said the number of people reaching out for assistance has increased significantly and thanks to each thoughtful donation the Food Bank team can continually provide healthy meals.
