It was a big weekend for the ladies January 10 to 12 as the Rustlers held their home tournament of the season.
Teams from across Alberta joined Jasper women on the ice to play a rotation of friendly games.
鈥淚t was great,鈥� said Jasper player Mary Koleman, 鈥淲e had a great time.鈥�
The Jasper Rustlers faced off against the Baby Birds from Edmonton, the Brunettes from Carstairs and the Hinton Mustangs.
鈥淭he highlight was definitely the game against Hinton,鈥� said Koleman.
鈥淲e are rivals so we enjoyed that.鈥�
And on Saturday night all the women in the tournament had a party at the Legion.
鈥淲e are just a really fun bunch of people from all walks of life who get along really well and love hockey,鈥� said Koleman.
鈥淲e are a good close team.鈥�
Rustlers practice every Friday night from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and anyone at a beginner or intermediate level is welcome.
