Jasper Grizzlies had their claws out this weekend in a double battle against the Grande Cache Rockies.
Saturday's game score was 8 to 0 for the Grizzlies with goals by Murphy Davies, Lydia Storms, Sophie Bennett, Daisy Mcleod and Sahara Harvey - and a shut out went to goalie Paige Hugie.
On Sunday, the game score was 9 to 0 for the Grizzlies with three goals each by Annika Oeggerli and Bella Kovacs, two goals for Sahara Harvey and one goal to Daisy Macleod - and a shut out went to goalie Molly McGown.
The Jasper girls were sporting their new jerseys with a fresh Grizzlies logo this weekend, too.
The new design was generously donated by Laura Coulson.
Jasper Grizzlies will be back on the ice January 18 and 19 for a home tournament.
Then they will travel to Surrey, BC, to compete at Canadian Tire Wickenheiser World Female Hockey Festival, dubbed Wickfest.
The festival is hosted by six-time Olympian Hayley Wickenheiser and the Grizzlies will face off against teams from all over Canada.
