Her fashion and tea store has been a Jasper gem for more than a decade.
But owner Roben Nurgitz has decided it’s time to leaf, and Tea Leaf Boutique will close its doors at the end of the season.
“I have been in the service industry for over 40 years and I need a break,” said Nurgitz.
“We have children who are moving on, parents who are aging, and this is an occupation that you can’t leave for too long.”
Nurgitz said her loyal customers “made the grind worthwhile”.
“You really get to know people,” she said.
“Women can be very insecure so if you can make them feel a bit better, that’s the best part.
“I have met the most amazing people. I have connected with people from all over the world, made friends from all over the place, and that’s been outstanding.”
Tea Leaf Boutique closes October 14.
“I just want to say thank you,” said Nurgitz.
“It was a wonderful ride and we are onto the next chapter.”
And as for the future of the prime-location store, Nurgitz stayed coy on the identity of the businesses, but said she had “a couple of interested parties” and an offer on the table.
