Her fashion and tea store has been a Jasper gem for more than a decade.
But owner Roben Nurgitz has decided it鈥檚 time to leaf, and Tea Leaf Boutique will close its doors at the end of the season.
鈥淚 have been in the service industry for over 40 years and I need a break,鈥� said Nurgitz.
鈥淲e have children who are moving on, parents who are aging, and this is an occupation that you can鈥檛 leave for too long.鈥�
Nurgitz said her loyal customers 鈥渕ade the grind worthwhile鈥�.
鈥淵ou really get to know people,鈥� she said.
鈥淲omen can be very insecure so if you can make them feel a bit better, that鈥檚 the best part.
鈥淚 have met the most amazing people. I have connected with people from all over the world, made friends from all over the place, and that鈥檚 been outstanding.鈥�
Tea Leaf Boutique closes October 14.
鈥淚 just want to say thank you,鈥� said Nurgitz.
鈥淚t was a wonderful ride and we are onto the next chapter.鈥�
And as for the future of the prime-location store, Nurgitz stayed coy on the identity of the businesses, but said she had 鈥渁 couple of interested parties鈥� and an offer on the table.
