Jasper museum is calling for new board members ahead of its AGM this week.
The museum is operated by the Jasper Yellowhead Historical Society, which currently has 12 board members and three vacancies.
Board members are needed to vote on the appointment of an auditor, approval of financial and activity reports, and election of board directors.
They attend monthly meetings, do committee work and help with fundraising.
鈥淚f you have a passion for history and want to see the organization do well, there鈥檚 an opportunity to step up and do more than just a general member,鈥� said museum manager Rob Hubick.
鈥淚t鈥檚 more responsibility and more things to do and get involved in.鈥�
Jasper Yellowhead Historical Society is a non-profit charitable organization that was registered in 1977 to encourage the study of Jasper鈥檚 history, collect data on the early history of Jasper, and locate and preserve local points of interest.
鈥淲e continue to preserve our history in Jasper and Jasper National Park and tell stories of our history,鈥� said Hubick.
The AGM takes place on Thursday, March 19 at the museum. It starts at 7 p.m. with guest speakers at 8 p.m.
