There is something magical when you have dragons in a movie. Yes, the whole dragon thing has been done several times with no end in sight. The thing that gets me every time is I enjoy watching each and every dragon film that I have the opportunity to watch. The storyline can go several ways to make each film about dragons seem unique. In this version, we are faced with a story about the last dragon in existence.Â
The movie is rated 7.4 on IMDb and I would rate it a solid 8.0. If a friend had not made me aware of the film, I might have missed it. Without the advertising hype and movie theatres showcasing this film, I almost missed out on this gem. The cast that lent their voices to each specific character are among some of the best in the business. Their unique personalities come across in the parts they play and the results are entertaining.
Walt Disney Animation Studios knocked this one out of the park. The story is captivating and the visuals are outstanding. The action is solid and there is enough comedy to make it a great family film. Make it a movie night and check this new dragon movie out.
