If you are looking for an action movie that has it all, look no further, because “Uncharted” has it all. There is plenty of action, comedy and a script that will keep you entertained for the total duration of the movie. One hour and 56 minutes will pass by swiftly, and you will crave more. I had the privilege of seeing “Uncharted” on the big screen at the Chaba. The film is based on a video game, so the film is very visual, and watching it at a theatre was the way to go.

Tom Holland from the Spider-Man franchise is the star, and he delivers an excellent performance. Holland is solidifying himself as the guy to look out for when an action movie is released. At 26 years old, he has been granted the keys to the kingdom when it comes to action franchises. He always plays likable characters, and it always comes off as genuine. Marvel made the right decision in 2015 to cast him as Spider-Man. I hope “Uncharted” becomes a franchise and Tom Holland becomes the person steering the ship.

The fact that “Uncharted” entered development in 2008 makes me think it is a miracle that it was released in 2022. The pandemic did not help things in the movie world, and we are finally starting to see big production budgets. With a budget of $120 million, “Uncharted” delivered $337.3 million on its initial investment. It seems that Hollywood is on the right track, and “Uncharted” helped make that course correction. If you like action and the best helicopter chase scene that I have ever watched, this one's for you.

Kevin Lazzari, owner of Video Stop, is reviewing movies for the 51. “Uncharted” (2022) will be available for digital streaming and download on April 26.
