I had to revisit Wall Street because of all the current events surrounding the stock market. The last couple of weeks have been pivotal in the markets.

There is nowhere you can turn without hearing about GameStop and AMC. Reality is sometimes stranger than fiction and wallstreetbets, the subreddit behind this trading frenzy, certainly proves that. Wall Street was produced in 1987 with Oliver Stone writing and directing it.

The movie is two hours and six minutes long, but time seems to accelerate while you are watching this classic. The stars make this film an exciting drama that has you hooked from the opening credits.

Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen are at the top of their game. The dynamics between the two is powerful with the supporting cast allowing them to shine.

Every scene has a legend from the film world. Sean Young, Terrance Stamp, Martin Sheen, James Spader and the rest of the cast made movie history in this Oliver Stone production. Charlie Sheen knew what he was getting into since he had just finished Platoon with Stone.

There is one thing about Oliver Stone and that is he certainly knows how to make a movie. I cannot say I figured out how to play the markets watching Wall Street, but I was definitely entertained.

I wonder which director and scriptwriter will turn wallstreetbets and all the major players into a movie.

The formula used in Wall Street would certainly work in today's climate by entertaining us with a unique subject as evidenced on Reddit. Watch Wall Street and you could be the next Keith Gill.
