Male charged for damaging vehicle in Edson

Police are charging a male for damaging a vehicle and resisting/obstructing a peace officer after an incident at a local business on 4th Avenue in Edson on Jan. 15.

At around 10:20 p.m. that day, Edson RCMP responded to a report of suspicious activities, specifically regarding a male reportedly attempting to break into a vehicle.

Upon arrival, police found that the male had opened the hood to the engine compartment of the vehicle.

The male attempted to flee on foot but he was quickly apprehended, arrested and taken into custody.

Travis Eugene Aldrich, 29, of Yellowhead County was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Edson Provincial Court on Feb. 15.
