A 21-year-old individual from Beaumont has died following a motor vehicle collision on Highway 16, approximately six kilometres west of Jasper.

The lone 21-year-old driver of the sedan was declared deceased on scene.
The two occupants of the pick-up truck – a 30-year-old male driver and 29-year-old female passenger, both of Grande Prairie – were transported to hospital and released with minor injuries.
Emergency crews cleared from the highway this morning around 8 a.m.
Police have been in contact with next of kin and continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of an RCMP Collision Analyst.
