Jasper鈥檚 Santas Anonymous campaign came to fruition last week as parcels were delivered to families around town.
For weeks, the Santas Anonymous team has been fundraising and gift gathering ready for the special deliveries.
And on Wednesday more than 60 Jasper families received packages, which included gifts and food vouchers.
Younger kids received arts and craft supplies and things that invoke their creativity and promote development and education, while teenage recipients preferred something more social like food and entertainment vouchers or sporting equipment.
But for many, the greatest need is clothing and warm winter boots.
Jasper鈥檚 Santas Anonymous program allows Jasperites to share the magic of the holiday season with neighbours and fellow community members who may not otherwise be able to take part.
Fundraisers this year included the 16th annual Santa Train, a Skate with Santa and Jasper the Bear and an Ugly Holiday Sweater Day on December 20.Cash, cheque or gift card donations can be still made to the Jasper Community Team Society at 627 Patricia Street, open Monday to Friday 9am-4:30pm and e-transfers can be sent to [email protected].
