Jasper Fire Department is appealing for information following two car fires in one night.
911 was called around 12:30am on Tuesday (June 23, 2020) with reports of an SUV engulfed in flames on the 300 block of Patricia Street.
Two firefighter units were sent to the scene and put the flames out within minutes - but the vehicle was completely destroyed.
While at the scene, firefighters were approached by a man who said his van (~100m away) had also been on fire but he had managed to put it out with a fire extinguisher. His van suffered interior damage.
The fire has been recorded as suspicious and an investigation is ongoing.
