Liam Neeson鈥檚 latest movie has all the makings of a great action movie. Neeson is a rancher who is an ex-marine living close to the Arizona border. Due to a few unfortunate circumstances, he ends up helping a young kid that is being pursued by the cartel.
The opening scenes had me hooked. I thought I was going to see an action flick that would have Neeson doing his thing. I was picturing a movie like Taken and Liam being an action superstar. I think I have set the bar too high when it comes to Liam Neeson. I have watched every movie he has been involved with and enjoyed each one. The Marksman is probably the exception because I thought I was going to watch a different version. The movie is well done and Neeson plays an age-appropriate part, which I respect. I just felt the movie was flat and there was something missing.
If you are looking for an action drama and Neeson is your guy, The Marksman might fit the bill.
