It is a snowy day in Jasper National Park today (January 3).

And the snowfall is set to continue.

According to the government weather website, weather.gc.ca, this heavy snowfall will result in about five centimetres of snow.

Overnight will be partly cloudy with a 30 per cent chance of flurries, which continues into Saturday and Sunday night.

Sunday (January 5) will see periods of snow day and night, followed by a 60 per cent chance of flurries on Monday in the day and periods of snow overnight.

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there are also high percentage chances of flurries.

And while the government forecast stops there, the Weather Network forecasts 14 days ahead and shows a 40 per cent chance of snow on Friday, January 10, 70 per cent Jan 11, 30 per cent on Jan 12, 10 per cent on Jan 13, 40 per cent on Jan 14, 60 per cent on Jan 15 and 16, and 30 per cent on Friday, January 17.
