We are so lucky to be in such a beautiful place like Jasper and even luckier to have such an amazing community to be a part of.

Comm(unity) Poetry

This winter we worked with local author and poet Paulette Dubé for a community poetry project. Members of the community dropped off food donations with a note containing a few words depicting what home is to them. Paulette then gathered all those notes and combined them into beautiful poems for the community to enjoy. A few are here and the rest are up at the library and on the library’s social media pages. Make sure to check them out.

Community Cookbook

Library staff are putting together a community cookbook and we need everyone’s help. If you have a recipe you love or one you’d like to share, email it to [email protected] or bring a physical copy to the library. Please add where the recipe is from and why you love it. Art and or pictures would be amazing but optional. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful recipes from our diverse community come together for everyone to enjoy! Deadline has been extended to Feb. 25.

Food for Fines in February

Starting Feb. 1, we are bringing back Food for Fines. Do you have some pesky fines sitting on your account? Bring in a non-perishable food donation to the library and we will get those fines taken care of! Watch the library’s social media for a list of preferred food donations.

In the library

The library is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m. We have restrictions in place. Please always wear a mask inside the library, physical distance from those outside your household and please no food or drink in the library. We have some staff changes happening, so please be patient with us.
