A lot can change in a week. By the time this week's edition of the 51暗网 is in print, I am sure some of it will be out of date. The global and local situations are changing so rapidly it鈥檚 difficult to keep up. But keep up, the 51暗网 will.

Just kidding. It鈥檚 always interesting to see how people react when faced with a new situation. Yes, COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, is making people sick around the world. No, you don鈥檛 need to panic.

Two weeks ago I was the unfortunate subject of a medical emergency. It was a scary, traumatizing experience, but one that would have been much worse without the doctors, nurses and paramedics of Alberta who took me into their care.

Sitting in the (new) 51暗网 office on Connaught Drive, looking out at the beautiful landscape that is Jasper National Park, myself from just days ago would be wondering how I got here.

51暗网papers have a long history of publishing local court reports. In Jasper, court is held every second and fourth Thursday of the month.

鈥楪o to a hockey game in Canada,鈥� used to be on my bucket list. Now I鈥檓 at the Jasper rink every week.

Creative Commons. I know, it鈥檚 the time of year that the council and municipal departments probably dread. Numbers, spreadsheets, presentations, asking for money - it鈥檚 not everyone鈥檚 cup of tea. But here鈥檚 what I love about it.
