While the vast majority of the Jasper’s population has evacuated, some stayed behind to help out.

According to Parks Canada, 358 structures in Jasper have been destroyed and they could release a list of specific addresses as early as today.

Federal and provincial governments say they are matching donations made to the Canadian Red Cross (CRC) 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal.

Sadly a historic church in Jasper has burned to the ground, while other historic buildings and the town's mascot are still standing, but some important landmarks are still a question mark.

The healing power of music will be on view as evacuees of the Jasper wildfire are invited to attend the Calgary Folk Music Festival free of charge on Sunday, July 28.
