The winter festival will bring back favourites such as the Jasper Pond Hockey Tournament, Mountain Malanka and Whisky, Wine and Hops. The festival caps off with a street party.

"Some of the Facts" is a collection of fictionalized stories based loosely on the people who lived and worked in Jasper National Park in its early days.

"After such a challenging year for families like the Beckmanns in Jasper, we wanted to provide them with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Along with the usual holiday programming in Jasper, elves will be organizing festive events in communities where residents have relocated, specifically Hinton, Edmonton, Calgary and the Bow Valley.

"This year, there will be an expanded Donate & Go Christmas Decoration section, which will include fully decorated trees with some available to rent over the holiday season."

"Wildflowers" will premiere at the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival on Saturday (Nov. 2).

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has hosted Symphony Under the Stars every year since 2015 as part of the Jasper Dark Sky Festival, but this was the first time the resort hosted a complimentary concert for Jasper residents and first responders.

"It's like nothing anyone has ever seen before. You've seen ski films, you may be seeing dance films, but this is a [film] that presents performance art and the mountain culture and the beauty of the outdoors in a really special way."
