Known for his roles in "Breaking Bad", "Your Honour" and "Malcolm in the Middle", Cranston was spending his 35th wedding anniversary with his wife, Robin, in Jasper.

The Jasper poet recently published her newest collection, borne out of something she started a few years ago.

Canada Day festivities included a pancake breakfast, a flag raising ceremony, Canada Day cake, a parade and musical performances in the late afternoon.

The Group of Seven exhibit will be on display until the fall.

"Claude Boocock was a founding member of the Jasper Artists Guild (JAG). She recalls taking a class from Michael Flisak, an accomplished artist, and a conversation where it was suggested to create a Jasper-based artist organization."

"Russ began carving wildfowl almost three decades ago and since then has been a student of creating three-dimensional wood carvings of these beautiful creatures."
