The Alberta Living Wage Network calculates Jasper鈥檚 living wage has increased from $24.90 per hour in 2023 to $31.40 per hour in 2024. This is the highest living wage ranked in this year鈥檚 report.

"This is going to offset lost revenues during the summer season when many businesses were聽at their busiest."

A 100-unit cap was initially proposed, but council raised it to 130 to accommodate existing operators.

Jasper represents $625 million in annual tourism spending and accounts for 25 per cent of visitor spending in the Canadian Rockies.
